Schecter built the Hellraiser C-1 FR S LH as a left-handed, sustainiac-equipped variant within the Hellraiser C-1 line, positioned toward players requiring extended sustain and tremolo functionality. The set-neck mahogany body with quilted maple arched top and black chrome hardware placed it toward the upper tier of the Hellraiser range. Construction followed a Set-Neck with Ultra Access joint, and the instrument was built in South Korea.
The three-piece mahogany neck carries a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth, topped with a 24-fret rosewood fretboard at a 14" radius. Abalone Gothic Cross inlays and abalone binding with BLK/WHT/BLK multi-ply trim run throughout. The Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge pairs with a Floyd Rose locking nut at 1.625" width, and Grover tuners handle the headstock. A two-way adjustable truss rod with a 5/32" allen nut is accessible for neck relief adjustment. Electronics centre on an EMG 81 bridge pickup and a Sustainiac neck pickup, governed by a volume, tone, and intensity control alongside a three-way pickup switch, a two-way Sustainiac on-off switch, and a three-way Sustainiac mode switch selecting between Fundamental, Mix, and Harmonic modes. Two clip-in 9-volt battery compartments power the active circuit. Strings left the factory as Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046.
Owners seeking bridge saddle replacements, Floyd Rose components, or Sustainiac service parts should verify compatibility against the Floyd Rose 1000 Series and Sustainiac specifications; a qualified guitar technician can assist with setup, intonation, and any active electronics work.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
