Description

Schecter positioned the Hellraiser C-7 FR S (item 1829) as a feature-laden seven-string electric in its Hellraiser series, built in South Korea with a set-neck construction featuring Ultra Access heel shaping. The body is mahogany with a quilted maple arched top, bound in abalone with black/white/black multi-ply purfling.

The three-piece mahogany neck carries a Thin 'C' profile and a rosewood fretboard with abalone Gothic Cross inlays, 24 X-jumbo frets, and a 16" (406mm) radius across a 26.5" (673mm) baritone-length scale. A Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge pairs with a Floyd Rose locking nut at 1.874" (47.6mm) width, and Grover tuners handle the headstock end. All hardware is finished in black chrome. Electronics centre on an EMG 81-7 bridge pickup and a Sustainiac neck driver, controlled through a volume, tone, and intensity knob alongside a three-way pickup switch, a two-way Sustainiac on/off switch, and a three-way Sustainiac mode switch covering Fundamental, Mix, and Harmonic modes. Power comes from a double 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. Strings from the factory are Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 7 (#2621, .010–.056).

Owners sourcing replacement Floyd Rose components, EMG seven-string hardware, or Sustainiac service parts should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with active-electronics and double-locking tremolo systems.

The owner archive

From the people who own them

Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.

Put yours on the record.

The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.

What do you know about this one?

Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
