Schecter positioned the Synyster Standard HT as an Indonesian-made, fixed-bridge variant of the Synyster Gates signature line, offering the core aesthetic and hardware of the artist series without a floating tremolo system. It sat as an entry point into the signature range for players who preferred hardtail stability.
The mahogany body is paired with a three-piece mahogany neck reinforced with carbon fiber rods, finished to an Ultra Thin 'C' profile measuring .748" at the first fret and .787" at the twelfth. The 25.5" scale ebony fretboard carries 24 X-Jumbo frets on a 16" radius, with pearloid 'Syn' inlays and a Death Bat marker at the twelfth fret. The Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut measures 1.653" wide. Both pickup positions carry Schecter Diamond Synyster Gates Signature humbuckers, controlled by a volume knob, a push-pull tone knob, and a 3-way switch. The Schecter Custom Hardtail bridge routes strings through the body. Hardware throughout is black, and the body carries a single ply of black binding. The guitar shipped with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 strings.
Owners researching bridge saddle replacements, nut alternatives, or fretwork should note the string-through hardtail configuration and 16" fretboard radius when sourcing parts, and consult a qualified guitar technician for setup or repair work.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
