Schecter built the Synyster Standard as a production-line instrument carrying the Synyster Gates signature specification, positioning it as an accessible entry point into the signature series. The guitar was constructed with a bolt-on neck joint and a mahogany body finished in Gloss White with Black Pinstripes, with black hardware and a flat-top body contour. Country of origin was Indonesia.
The three-piece mahogany neck incorporated carbon fiber reinforcement rods and was shaped to an Ultra Thin 'C' profile, measuring .748" (19mm) at the first fret and .787" (20mm) at the twelfth. The 25.5" (648mm) scale ebony fretboard carried 24 X-Jumbo frets at a 16" (406mm) radius, with pearloid 'Syn' inlays and a Death Bat inlay at the twelfth fret. A Floyd Rose Special locking nut — 1.625" (41.3mm) wide — anchored the headstock end, while a Floyd Rose Special 'Hot Rod' locking tremolo bridge (a Schecter exclusive) handled intonation and pitch at the body. Both pickups were Schecter Diamond Synyster Gates Signature Humbuckers, routed through a volume control, a push-pull tone control, and a three-way switch. The truss rod accepted a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key. Strings were factory-fitted with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046. A case was sold separately (SGR-2A).
Owners requiring setup work, Floyd Rose servicing, or truss rod adjustment should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with double-locking tremolo systems.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
