Schecter positioned the Reaper-6 FR S within its Reaper series as a high-output, extended-performance electric guitar built around a Sustainiac-driven neck pickup system and a Floyd Rose 1500 Series floating tremolo. It was manufactured in Indonesia and offered in a right-handed configuration only, with a Satin Charcoal Burst finish over a Burl top.
The guitar was constructed using a set-neck joint with Ultra Access heel shaping, joining a Maple/Walnut multi-ply neck — reinforced with carbon fiber rods — to a Swamp Ash body capped with a Burl top finished flat. The Ebony fretboard carries 24 X-Jumbo frets at a 14" radius, with Pearloid Offset/Reverse Dot inlays and a 25.5" (648mm) scale length. The Ultra Thin 'C' neck profile measures .748" (19mm) at the first fret and .787" (20mm) at the twelfth. The Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge and matching locking nut (1.625" / 41.3mm width) complete the tremolo system, with a 2-way adjustable truss rod accessible via a 5/32" (4mm) Allen nut. The Schecter Diamond Decimator occupies the bridge position, while the neck position houses a Sustainiac® driver with a dedicated 2-way on/off switch and a 3-way mode switch (Fundamental, Mix, Harmonic) — powered by a 9-volt clip-in battery. Hardware throughout is finished in Black and Chrome, with metal knurled knobs secured by set screws. Schecter-branded tuners and an Ernie Ball Regular Slinky (.010–.046) string set complete the specification. The SGR-1C case is sold separately.
