Schecter positioned the Reaper-6 FR S (item 1508) as a high-specification six-string electric guitar within its Reaper series, built in Indonesia with a set-neck construction featuring Ultra Access. The Satin Inferno Burst finish was offered over a Swamp Ash body with a Burl top, finished flat.
The neck is a multi-ply Maple and Walnut assembly reinforced with Carbon Fiber rods, profiled in an Ultra Thin 'C' shape and measuring .748" (19mm) at the first fret and .787" (20mm) at the twelfth. An Ebony fretboard with Pearloid Offset/Reverse Dot inlays carries 24 X-Jumbo frets over a 14" (355mm) radius at a 25.5" (648mm) scale length. The nut is a Floyd Rose 1500 Series unit at 1.625" (41.3mm) width, feeding into a Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge. Tuning machines are Schecter-branded. Hardware is finished in Black and Chrome. The truss rod is a two-way adjustable unit adjusted with a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key. The pickup configuration pairs a Schecter Diamond Decimator at the bridge with a Sustainiac® driver at the neck; controls run to a master volume, master tone, a standard three-way pickup selector, a two-way Sustainiac on/off switch, and a three-way Sustainiac mode switch covering Fundamental, Mix, and Harmonic modes. Power for the Sustainiac system draws from a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. Knobs are metal knurled with set screws. Strings from the factory were Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046.
Owners requiring setup work, Floyd Rose servicing, or Sustainiac system maintenance should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with double-locking tremolo systems and active electronics.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
