Description

Schecter positioned the Reaper-7 Multiscale (item 1509) as a seven-string multiscale instrument within its Reaper series, built in Indonesia with a set-neck construction featuring Ultra Access. The fanned-fret layout spans a 25.5" to 27" scale length, accommodating the extended low-end demands of a seven-string configuration while maintaining playability across the fretboard.

The neck is a maple and walnut multi-ply construction reinforced with carbon fiber rods, joined to a swamp ash body capped with a burl top finished in Satin Charcoal Burst. The ebony fretboard carries 24 narrow X-Jumbo frets on a flat 20" radius, with a graphite nut measuring 1.889" wide and an Ultra Thin 'C' profile measuring .748" at the first fret and .787" at the twelfth. Both pickup positions carry Schecter Diamond Decimator humcancelling pickups, routed through a volume, a push-pull tone control, and a 3-way switch — all on knurled metal hardware in black and chrome. String anchoring is handled by a Hipshot Hardtail bridge with string-through-body loading. The guitar was strung from the factory with Ernie Ball 7-string sets gauged .009–.062.

Owners requiring setup adjustments, fret work, or help sourcing compatible hardware — including Hipshot hardtail saddles or Schecter-spec tuner replacements — should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with multiscale instruments.

The owner archive

From the people who own them

Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.

Put yours on the record.

The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.

What do you know about this one?

Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
