Schecter positioned the C-7 FR S Silver Mountain LH as a left-handed, seven-string variant within the C-Series line, built around a set-neck mahogany body with an arched top and black single-ply binding. The "FR S" designation indicates a Floyd Rose-equipped, Sustainiac-loaded configuration, placing this model at a feature-heavy tier of the C-7 family.
The three-piece mahogany neck, reinforced with carbon fiber rods and shaped to a Thin 'C' profile, carries a 26.5" (673mm) baritone scale ebony fretboard with 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets, a 16" (406mm) radius, and Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dot markers alongside line inlays. The Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge and matching 1500 Series locking nut — 1.874" (47.6mm) wide — handle tuning stability across the full seven-string range, with Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners at the headstock. Electronics center on a Schecter USA Sonic Seducer humbucker at the bridge and a Sustainiac driver at the neck, governed by a control set that includes volume, tone, and intensity knobs alongside a standard three-way pickup switch, a two-way Sustainiac on/off switch, and a three-way Sustainiac mode switch cycling between Fundamental, Mix, and Harmonic modes. A 9-volt clip-in battery compartment powers the Sustainiac system. All hardware is finished in black. The neck joint uses Schecter's Ultra Access construction. Strings were supplied as Ernie Ball seven-string gauges (.009–.062).
Owners requiring bridge saddle adjustments, Sustainiac calibration, or fret work should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with Floyd Rose-equipped instruments.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
