Schecter positioned the C-7 Multiscale Silver Mountain within its extended-range electric guitar line as a seven-string instrument built around a fanned-fret multiscale configuration, spanning a 25.5" to 27" scale length. The set-neck construction with Ultra Access joined a mahogany body — finished in Silver Mountain — to a three-piece mahogany neck reinforced with carbon fiber rods, a combination Schecter employed to address the additional tension demands of the extended lower string.
The ebony fretboard carried 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets on a 16" radius, with Line inlays and Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dot markers. A 1.889" graphite nut fed strings across the fanned-fret layout to a Hipshot Hardtail bridge with string-through-body anchoring, finished in black hardware throughout. Both pickup positions were loaded with Schecter USA Sonic Seducer humbuckers, routed through a Volume/Volume/Tone (push-pull)/3-Way Switch control layout. Schecter Locking tuners and metal knurled set-screw knobs completed the hardware complement. The instrument shipped with Ernie Ball seven-string strings gauged .009–.062, and a case was sold separately.
