Schecter positioned the C-1 Silver Mountain within its C-1 series as a high-specification set-neck electric guitar built for players demanding extended playability and premium hardware. The model carried item number 1460 and was manufactured in South Korea.
The body was carved from mahogany with an arched top and finished in black single-ply binding. The three-piece mahogany neck, reinforced with carbon fiber rods, joined the body via a set-neck construction with Ultra Access and was shaped to a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth. The ebony fretboard ran 25.5" (648mm) at scale, carried 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets on a 14" (355mm) radius, and was fitted with a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 1.653" (42mm) width. Line inlays marked the positions, supplemented by Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dots. Schecter USA Sonic Seducer™ pickups occupied both the bridge and neck positions, routed through a Volume/Volume/Tone (push-pull)/3-Way Switch control layout with metal knurled knobs. The Hipshot Ibby HM bridge and Schecter locking tuners completed the black hardware set. Factory strings were Ernie Ball Regular Slinky #2221 (.010–.046). The SGR-1C case was sold separately.
