Schecter built the SLS Evil Twin-4 LH as a left-handed, four-string electric bass positioned within its SLS (Super Lightweight Series) line, featuring neck-through construction with Ultra Access and a swamp ash body finished in Satin Black. The instrument was designed around active Fishman Fluence electronics and a multi-species laminated neck.
The neck is constructed from a maple, walnut, and padauk multi-ply blank reinforced with carbon fiber rods, capped with an ebony fretboard carrying Roman numeral inlays and glow-in-the-dark side dot markers. The 34-inch scale fretboard runs to 24 X-jumbo stainless steel frets on a 16-inch radius, with a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787 inches at the first fret and .866 inches at the twelfth. The 1.496-inch Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut feeds into Grover 144 Series bass tuners. Both pickup positions carry Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbar units, managed by a master volume with push-pull single-coil tap, a blend control, a 2-band Fishman EQ, and a 3-way voicing toggle offering Classic, Funk, and Modern voices. The Schecter Custom Bass bridge accepts either string-through-body or top-load stringing. The body features an arched top with ivory 1-ply binding, and all hardware is finished in black. A 9-volt clip-in battery compartment powers the active circuit. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball 4-String Super Long #2849 (.045–.105).
