Schecter built the E-1 SLS Evil Twin as a high-specification neck-through solidbody within its SLS (Super LuthierS) series, positioning it above the standard E-1 line with an elevated hardware and electronics package. The guitar was manufactured in South Korea and offered in a Satin Black finish.
The multi-ply maple, walnut, and padauk neck is reinforced with carbon fiber rods and runs through the swamp ash body — a neck-through construction Schecter designated "Ultra Access" — with ivory single-ply binding at the body edge. The ebony fretboard carries 24 x-jumbo stainless steel frets over a 12"–16" compound radius and is inlaid with Roman numeral position markers; side dots glow in the dark. The neck profile is Schecter's Ultra Thin 'C', measuring .748" at the first fret and .787" at the twelfth, with a 1.653" nut width at the Ernie Ball Compensated Nut. A two-way adjustable truss rod is accessed at the heel via a spoke wheel. Hardware is finished in black throughout: the bridge is a TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic paired with a T1Z tailpiece, and tuning is handled by Schecter Locking tuners. Electronics centre on a Fishman Fluence Modern humbucker pair — ceramic magnet at the bridge, alnico magnet at the neck — routed through a volume and tone control (both push-pull) and a three-way switch. The active Fluence system is powered by a 9-volt battery housed in a dedicated clip-in compartment. The flat-top body ships strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 strings.
