Schecter positioned the SLS Evil Twin-5 (item 1395) as a high-specification five-string electric bass within its SLS (Schecter Limited Series) line, finished in Satin Black. The neck-thru-body construction with Ultra Access was paired with a swamp ash body, ivory 1-ply binding, and an arched top contour.
The multi-ply maple, walnut, and padauk neck incorporates carbon fiber reinforcement rods and a thin 'C' profile, measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth, with heel-access spoke-wheel truss rod adjustment. The ebony fretboard runs 24 X-jumbo stainless steel frets at a 16" radius over a 35" scale, with roman numeral inlays and glow-in-the-dark side dot markers. A Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut sits at 1.771" width. Both bridge and neck positions carry Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbar pickups, controlled through a master volume with push-pull single-coil tap, a blend knob, a 2-band Fishman EQ, and a 3-way toggle voicing switch offering Classic, Funk, and Modern voices.
