Schecter positioned the V-1 SLS Evil Twin (item 1346) as a high-specification instrument within the SLS — Select — tier of its guitar line, built around a neck-through construction with Ultra Access and a Swamp Ash body finished in Satin Black. The multi-ply Maple, Walnut, and Padauk neck incorporates Carbon Fiber Reinforcement Rods and carries a 25.5" scale with a 12"–16" compound radius Ebony fretboard, making it a platform oriented toward players prioritising stability and low-action setup.
The neck profile is the Ultra Thin 'C', measuring .748" at the first fret and .787" at the twelfth, fitted with 24 X-Jumbo Stainless Steel frets and Roman Numeral inlays with glow-in-the-dark side dots. The Ernie Ball Compensated Nut sits at 1.653" (42mm) width, and tuning is handled by Schecter Locking tuners. The bridge is a TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic paired with a T1Z tailpiece, all in black hardware. Electronics consist of a Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker with Ceramic magnet at the bridge and an Alnico magnet variant at the neck — both active designs powered by a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. The controls are a push-pull Volume, push-pull Tone, and a 3-way switch, with metal knurled knobs secured by set screws. Ivory 1-ply binding completes the aesthetic. The instrument ships with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings (.010–.046). A dedicated case (SGR-8V) was sold separately.
Owners requiring setup work, fret maintenance, or assistance sourcing compatible TonePros or Fishman Fluence replacement components should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with active pickup systems and stainless steel fret work.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
