Schecter positioned the C-7 FR SLS Elite LH as a high-specification left-handed seven-string instrument within the SLS (Solo Series) Elite tier of the C-series line. It was built with a neck-thru construction featuring Ultra Access, a multi-ply maple, walnut, and padauk neck reinforced with carbon fiber rods, and a swamp ash body capped with a flamed maple top finished in Black Fade Burst with ivory single-ply binding and an arched top contour.
The 26.5-inch baritone scale runs across an ebony fretboard with a 12–16-inch compound radius, 24 X-jumbo stainless steel frets, and abalone offset/reverse dot inlays. A Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge and matching nut provide the tremolo system, with Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners at the headstock. Electronics consist of a Fishman Fluence Modern humbucker with ceramic magnet at the bridge and an alnico magnet version at the neck; both push-pull controls on the volume and tone knobs unlock additional Fluence voicings via the active circuit, which draws from a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. Hardware throughout is finished in black, and the nut width of 1.874 inches accommodates the factory-installed Ernie Ball seven-string set (.009–.062).
