Schecter positioned the C-7 FR SLS Elite (item 1356) as a high-specification seven-string instrument within the SLS Elite tier of the C-series line. The neck-thru-body construction with Ultra Access joint was paired with a swamp ash body and a flamed maple arched top, finished in Antique Fade Burst with ivory single-ply binding. Hardware was finished in black throughout.
The multi-ply maple, walnut, and padauk neck incorporated carbon fiber reinforcement rods and carried an ebony fretboard with a 12"–16" compound radius. Twenty-four X-jumbo stainless steel frets ran the 26.5" (673mm) baritone scale. The Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge and matching locking nut handled the floating tremolo system, while Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners provided tuning stability at the headstock. Pickups were Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers — a ceramic-magnet unit at the bridge and an alnico-magnet unit at the neck — both active designs drawing from a 9-volt clip-in battery. The push-pull volume and tone controls, along with a 3-way switch, allowed coil-splitting or voicing changes depending on pot configuration. The instrument shipped without a case; the SGR-1C was sold separately.
