Schecter positioned the C-1 FR SLS Elite at the upper tier of its C-1 series, building the guitar around a neck-through construction with Ultra Access and pairing a Swamp Ash body with a Flamed Maple top. The Black Fade Burst finish was offered with black hardware throughout.
The multi-ply Maple, Walnut, and Padauk neck incorporates Carbon Fiber Reinforcement Rods and an Ultra Thin 'C' profile, measuring .748" (19mm) at the first fret and .787" (20mm) at the twelfth. The Ebony fretboard runs a 12"–16" compound radius and carries 24 X-Jumbo Stainless Steel frets, Abalone Offset/Reverse Dot inlays, and Abalone side dots. Nut width sits at 1.625" (41.3mm) with a Floyd Rose 1500 Series locking nut feeding a Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge. Tuning is handled by Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners. Electronics are Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers — a Ceramic Magnet unit at the bridge and an Alnico Magnet unit at the neck — wired to a Volume (Push-Pull), Tone (Push-Pull), and 3-Way Switch control layout with Metal Knurled knobs. The active Fishman system draws power from a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. Ivory 1-ply binding and a 2-Way Adjustable Truss Rod with heel-access spoke wheel complete the specification. The instrument shipped with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings (.010–.046); a case was sold separately.
Owners requiring setup assistance, fret work, or Floyd Rose 1500 Series parts sourcing should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with double-locking tremolo systems.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
