Schecter positioned the C-1 SLS Elite at the upper tier of its C-series line, built around a neck-thru-body construction with Ultra Access and a Swamp Ash body capped with a Flamed Maple top. The Black Fade Burst finish was offered in a right-handed configuration with black hardware throughout and an ivory single-ply binding along the body edge.
The multi-ply Maple, Walnut, and Padauk neck incorporated Carbon Fiber Reinforcement Rods and carried an Ebony fretboard with a 12"–16" compound radius, 24 X-Jumbo Stainless Steel frets, and Abalone Offset/Reverse Dot inlays with matching Abalone side dots. The Ultra Thin 'C' neck profile measured .748" at the first fret and .787" at the twelfth, with a 25.5" scale and an Ernie Ball Compensated Nut at 1.653" width. Schecter Locking tuners handled the headstock end while a Hipshot Hardtail bridge with string-through-body anchoring handled the other. Electronics consisted of a Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic Magnet humbucker at the bridge and a Fishman Fluence Modern Alnico Magnet humbucker at the neck — both active designs drawing from an onboard 9-volt clip-in battery compartment — controlled via a Volume push-pull, Tone push-pull, and 3-way switch, all fitted with metal knurled set-screw knobs. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 strings. A case was sold separately (SGR-1C).
