Schecter positioned the C-1 FR SLS Elite (item 1352) toward the upper tier of its C-1 series, specifying a neck-through construction with Ultra Access heel shaping and a swamp ash body topped with flamed maple bound in ivory single-ply. The Antique Fade Burst finish was designated ANQFB. Country of origin was South Korea.
The multi-ply maple, walnut, and padauk neck incorporates carbon fiber reinforcement rods and is profiled in Schecter's Ultra Thin 'C' shape, measuring .748" at the first fret and .787" at the twelfth. The ebony fretboard runs a 12"–16" compound radius and carries 24 X-jumbo stainless steel frets with abalone offset/reverse dot inlays and matching abalone side dots. Nut duties fall to a Floyd Rose 1500 Series unit at 1.625" width, and the matching Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge handles vibrato. Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners are fitted at the headstock with all hardware finished in black. Electronics are a Fishman Fluence Modern humbucker pair — ceramic magnet at the bridge, alnico magnet at the neck — controlled by a push-pull volume, a push-pull tone, and a 3-way switch; the active circuit draws from a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. The guitar shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 (set 2221). The arched top contour is specified. The SGR-1C case was sold separately.
Owners requiring setup work, fret service on the stainless X-jumbo frets, Floyd Rose 1500 Series spring or saddle replacements, or Fishman Fluence battery and wiring service should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with floating double-locking trem systems and active pickup circuits.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
