Schecter positioned the C-7 SLS Evil Twin within its SLS (Super Luthite Series) line as a high-specification seven-string instrument built around a neck-thru-body construction with Ultra Access. It was manufactured in South Korea and finished in Satin Black.
The multi-ply maple, walnut, and padauk neck incorporates carbon fiber reinforcement rods and an Ultra Thin 'C' profile, measuring .748" at the first fret and .787" at the twelfth. The 26.5" baritone scale runs across a 12"-16" compound-radius ebony fretboard fitted with 24 X-jumbo stainless steel frets, Roman numeral inlays, and glow-in-the-dark side dot markers. The nut is an Ernie Ball Compensated unit at 1.889" width. The swamp ash body features an arched top with ivory single-ply binding. Stringing is string-through via a Hipshot Hardtail (.125) bridge, and tuning is handled by Schecter Locking tuners, all finished in black hardware. Pickups are a pair of Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers — ceramic magnet at the bridge, alnico magnet at the neck — each push-pull pot on the volume and tone controls allows coil-splitting or voicing switching, complemented by a 3-way toggle. The active Fishman Fluence system draws power from a 9-volt battery housed in a dedicated clip-in compartment. Strings are factory-fitted Ernie Ball seven-string gauges (.009–.062).
Owners requiring setup adjustments, fret work, or parts sourcing for components such as the Hipshot bridge saddles, Ernie Ball Compensated nut, or Fishman Fluence battery harness should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with extended-range instruments.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
