Schecter positioned the C-1 FR S SLS Evil Twin (item 1348) as a high-specification electric guitar built around the SLS (Sustainiac/Livewire/Sustainiac) platform, combining an active sustain system with modern high-output pickups. It sat toward the upper end of the C-1 family, distinguished by its neck-thru construction with Ultra Access heel joint, arched top, and multi-component electronics package centred on the Sustainiac driver at the neck position.
The body is Swamp Ash with ivory 1-ply binding and an arched top contour. The neck runs maple, walnut, and padauk in a multi-ply configuration reinforced with carbon fibre rods, shaped to Schecter's Ultra Thin 'C' profile measuring .748" at the first fret and .787" at the twelfth. The 25.5" scale ebony fretboard carries 24 X-jumbo stainless steel frets over a 12"–16" compound radius, with Roman numeral inlays and glow-in-the-dark side dots. Locking duties are handled at both ends by Floyd Rose 1500 Series units — nut and bridge — with Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners. The Fishman Fluence Modern ceramic humbucker occupies the bridge position; the Sustainiac driver sits at the neck. The control layout includes a push-pull tone pot and a dedicated three-way Sustainiac mode switch (Fundamental, Mix, Harmonic), powered by a dual 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. All hardware is finished in black, and the nut width is 1.625" (41.3mm).
Owners requiring Floyd Rose 1500 Series replacement saddles, locking nuts, or Sustainiac system service should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with double-locking tremolo systems and active electronics for correct setup and parts sourcing.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
