Schecter positioned the C-7 Apocalypse as a high-specification extended-range instrument within its Apocalypse series, built for seven-string players requiring baritone scale length and heavy-duty hardware. The guitar was constructed with a set-neck joint featuring Ultra Access heel shaping, a swamp ash body with arched top and black single-ply binding, and a multi-ply maple and padauk neck reinforced with carbon fiber rods.
The 26.5" (673mm) scale neck carried an ebony fretboard with a 12"-16" compound radius, 24 X-jumbo stainless steel frets, and a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut cut to 1.889" (48mm) to accommodate the seven-string spread. Mother of Pearl triangle inlays marked the 12th and 24th frets, with glow-in-the-dark side dot markers. Both pickup positions used Schecter USA Apocalypse-VII™ humbuckers, routed through a volume/volume/tone (push-pull) and 3-way switch layout. The bridge was a Hipshot Hardtail (.125) with string-through-body anchoring, finished in satin black alongside all remaining hardware. Schecter locking tuners and Hipshot O-Ring knobs completed the hardware package. The neck profile measured a Thin 'C' shape at .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth.
