Schecter positioned the C-1 FR Apocalypse at the higher end of its C-1 series, built around a set-neck construction with Ultra Access and a swamp ash body finished in Rusty Grey. The model was configured for extended-range and high-output playing, centred on the Floyd Rose 1500 Series tremolo system and a pair of Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI™ humbuckers.
The maple and padauk multi-ply neck incorporates carbon fiber reinforcement rods and carries a Thin 'C' profile, measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth. The ebony fretboard runs a 12"–16" compound radius across 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets, with a 1.625" nut width supplied by a Floyd Rose 1500 Series locking nut. Mother of Pearl triangle inlays appear at the 12th and 24th frets, and the side dots are glow-in-the-dark. Tuning is handled by Grover tuners, and a 2-way adjustable truss rod is accessed via a 5/32" Allen nut. Controls consist of two volume knobs, a push-pull tone control, and a 3-way pickup selector switch, all fitted with Hipshot O-Ring knobs. Hardware throughout is satin black, and a single-ply black binding borders the arched top. The instrument was strung from the factory with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including Floyd Rose 1500 Series components, stainless fret stock, or locking nut seats — should consult a qualified guitar technician to confirm fit against the instrument's specific dimensions before installation.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
