Description

Schecter positioned the C-1 Apocalypse at the high-performance end of its C-series line, pairing an aggressive hardware specification with a set-neck construction intended for players demanding both sustain and upper-fret access. The Rusty Grey finish was one of the colour options offered on this model.

The body was built from swamp ash with an arched top and black 1-ply binding, joined to a maple and padauk multi-ply neck reinforced with carbon fibre rods via a set-neck joint with Ultra Access heel shaping. The ebony fretboard ran a compound 12"–16" radius across 24 X-jumbo stainless steel frets, with a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 1.653" (42mm) width and a 25.5" (648mm) scale. Mother of Pearl triangle inlays marked the 12th and 24th frets, and glow-in-the-dark side dots lined the neck edge. Both pickup positions carried Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI™ humbuckers, routed through a volume/volume/tone (push-pull)/3-way switch control layout. The Hipshot Hardtail bridge with string-through-body stringing and Hipshot O-Ring knobs were finished in satin black, matched by the Schecter locking tuners. The truss rod accepted a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key for adjustment.

Owners requiring bridge saddle replacements, nut servicing, or truss rod adjustments should consult a qualified guitar technician, as compatibility will depend on the specific Hipshot Hardtail and Graph Tech components fitted to this model.

The owner archive

From the people who own them

Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.

Put yours on the record.

The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.

What do you know about this one?

Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
