Schecter positioned the V-1 Apocalypse as a high-specification instrument within its Apocalypse series, built around a set-neck construction with Ultra Access and a swamp ash body finished in Rusty Grey. The guitar was configured for right-handed players and carried a flat top contour with black 1-ply binding and satin black hardware throughout.
The maple and padauk multi-ply neck incorporated carbon fiber reinforcement rods and was profiled to a Thin 'C' shape, measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth. A 25.5" scale ebony fretboard ran to 24 X-jumbo stainless steel frets over a 12"-16" compound radius, with triangle inlays at the 12th and 24th frets and glow-in-the-dark side dot markers. The nut was a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq unit at 1.653" width, and the truss rod accepted a 5/32" Allen key for two-way adjustment. Schecter Locking tuners handled tuning stability at the headstock. The bridge was a TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic with string-through-body anchoring, and both pickup positions carried Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI™ humbuckers, controlled via a volume/volume/tone (push-pull) arrangement and a 3-way switch, with Hipshot O-Ring knobs. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 strings; the SGR-8V case was sold separately.
