Schecter positioned the Damien Platinum-6 FR S LH as a left-handed, feature-laden instrument within the Damien Platinum series, built in South Korea. The set-neck construction with Ultra Access joined a mahogany body finished with a Silver/Platinum multi-ply binding and an arched top, while the three-piece maple neck carried a rosewood fretboard dressed with Platinum Bat inlays.
The 25.5" scale neck profiles to a Thin 'C' shape, measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth, with 24 X-Jumbo frets over a 14" radius board. A Floyd Rose Special sits at both ends — as the locking nut and as the bridge — with Grover tuners completing the headstock. Hardware throughout is finished in Satin Chrome. Electronics are the defining feature of this model: an EMG 81 humbucker occupies the bridge position while the neck position holds a Sustainiac pickup system, powered by a double 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. The control layout reflects this — a standard Volume/Tone/3-way pickup switch is joined by a 2-way Sustainiac on/off switch and a 3-way Sustainiac mode switch covering Fundamental, Mix, and Harmonic modes. Metal knurled knobs with set screws are fitted throughout.
