Schecter built the Damien Platinum-6 LH as the left-handed variant of its Damien Platinum-6, positioning the model within the Damien Platinum series — a line that sat above the standard Damien range in terms of hardware and aesthetic appointments. The instrument was produced in South Korea and featured a set-neck construction with Ultra Access, pairing an arched-top mahogany body with a three-piece maple neck.
The neck carried a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth, topped with a rosewood fretboard running 24 X-Jumbo frets at a 14" radius. The 42mm Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut fed into a 25.5" scale. Tuning was handled by Grovers, while a Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-through-body anchoring and satin chrome hardware finished the platform. Platinum Bat inlays and Silver/Platinum multi-ply binding defined the visual character. The pickup configuration comprised an EMG 81 at the bridge and an EMG 85 at the neck — both active, drawing from a clip-in 9-volt battery compartment — controlled via a volume knob, a tone knob, and a 3-way switch, all on metal knurled knobs with set screws. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046.
Owners sourcing replacement parts should note that the Tune-O-Matic bridge accepts standard metric or imperial TOM-specification saddles and posts depending on the installed variant; a qualified guitar technician can confirm the correct specification before ordering. The 2-way truss rod is adjusted with a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key at the nut end.
