Powerwerks built the PW6EFX as a compact six-channel audio mixer designed to integrate with the broader PowerWerks tower speaker ecosystem. It occupied a utility role as both a standalone front-of-house mixing surface and an expansion node within a linked PowerWerks system, accepting and passing pre-master signals through its Powerlink connectors.
The mixer provided six individual channels, each accepting mic-level signals via balanced XLR and line-level signals via unbalanced quarter-inch inputs. Phantom power of 17 V was available across all mic inputs, current-limited to 5 mA per channel. A two-band channel EQ addressed highs at 2.6 kHz and above and lows at 0.9 kHz and below, with a low boost/cut of +/- 9.8 dB at 63 Hz. The unit's signal-to-noise ratio measured 74 dB with all controls at maximum undipped level across a 22 kHz bandwidth, and system gain at 1 kHz was rated at 21 dB from line input to master output. On-board effects consisted of 24-bit digital reverb. The Powerlink OUT port exported a pre-master signal to other PowerWerks products, while the Powerlink IN port accepted a pre-master signal from another PowerWerks unit or a line-level source, enabling daisy-chaining of an additional PW6EFX to expand the total channel count. The unit ran on an 18 V DC wall adapter, which was included. The unit weighed 3.5 lbs.
Owners sourcing a replacement wall adapter should confirm the 18 V DC specification before substituting any supply; a qualified electronics technician can verify connector polarity and current requirements from the unit's labelling.

What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
