Hagstrom built the Tremar Viking Deluxe as a semi-hollow electric guitar positioned within the Viking line, distinguished from the standard Viking by the inclusion of Hagstrom's Tremar vibrato system and the Tune-O-Matic roller bridge. The Wild Cherry Transparent finish sits on a contoured top body, and the instrument was fitted with a set neck joint.
The neck carries a Resinator™ fretboard with pearl block inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, a 15" radius, and a 43 mm GraphTech Black Tusq XL nut across a 24.75" (628 mm) scale. Two Hagstrom HJ-50 humbuckers feed a 3-way toggle selector with independent volume and tone controls for each pickup. The Long Travel Tune-O-Matic bridge is paired with the Hagstrom Tremar vibrato, and tuning is handled by Hagstrom Design 18:1 keys. The guitar shipped strung with D'Addario EXP 110 (10-46). Compatible accessories on record include hard case C55 and gig bag E25.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including Tremar vibrato components, HJ-50 pickup hardware, or GraphTech Black Tusq XL nut blanks — should consult a qualified luthier or guitar technician familiar with semi-hollow instruments and vibrato-equipped set-neck guitars.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
