Hagstrom produced the Tremar Viking Deluxe as a semi-hollow electric guitar positioned within the Viking line, distinguished from the standard Viking by the addition of Hagstrom's Tremar vibrato system. The Cloudy Seas finish placed it among the cosmetically differentiated variants of the Deluxe tier.
The guitar was built around a set neck joint with a 24.75-inch (628 mm) scale length and a 15-inch fretboard radius. The fretboard is made from Hagstrom's Resinator™ material, fitted with 22 medium jumbo frets, pearl block inlays, and a 43 mm GraphTech Black Tusq XL nut. Two Hagstrom HJ-50 humbucking pickups are controlled via a 3-way toggle switch with individual volume and tone controls for each pickup. The bridge is a long-travel tune-o-matic unit paired with Hagstrom's Tremar vibrato tailpiece. Tuning is handled by Hagstrom Design machine heads at an 18:1 ratio. The guitar shipped strung with D'Addario EXP 110 strings (10–46). Compatible optional cases were designated C55; a compatible bag was designated E25.
For setup adjustments, vibrato calibration, or sourcing replacement components such as tune-o-matic saddles, Tremar vibrato parts, or GraphTech Black Tusq XL nuts, consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with semi-hollow instruments and vibrato-equipped guitars.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
