Hagstrom built the Super Swede F as a heavily chambered variant of the Super Swede, occupying a distinct position within the Super Swede family by offering a different tonal character through its chambered construction and solid maple top with f-hole. The model shared its core architecture with the Super Swede line while departing meaningfully in its acoustic properties.
The Super Swede F was constructed around a single-cutaway body with a solid maple top dressed with an f-hole, paired with a set neck carrying Hagstrom's H-Expander™ truss rod system. The fingerboard — made from Hagstrom's Resinator™ material — ran a 25.5" (648 mm) scale at a 15" radius across 22 medium-jumbo frets, with Super Swede block inlays and a 43 mm GraphTech Black Tusq XL nut. Two Hagstrom Custom 58 AlNiCo pickups fed a control layout of two volume and two tone controls, a mini toggle coil-split switch, and a 3-way toggle selector. The Long Travel Tune-O-Matic bridge with Hagstrom stop tailpiece and single brass string blocks handled intonation, while Hagstrom Design 18:1 tuning keys managed pitch stability. The guitar shipped strung with D'Addario EXP 110 (10–46).
