Hagstrom built the Super Swede 2020 as a single-cutaway electric guitar positioned within their premium production line. The SUSWE20-CFL-U carried a Crimson Flame finish and was constructed around a two-piece African mahogany body with a three-quarter-inch carved maple top, paired with an African mahogany set neck stabilised by Hagstrom's proprietary H-Expander truss rod system.
The neck carried a Hagstrom Resinator fingerboard with a 15-inch radius, pearl block inlays, and 22 medium jumbo frets across a 25.5-inch scale. Nut duties fell to a 43 mm Graph Tech Black Tusq XL. The pickup complement consisted of a Lundgren-designed AlNiCo II at the neck and an AlNiCo V at the bridge, selected via a 3-way toggle switch. Each pickup had its own dedicated volume and tone control, with each tone pot wired as a push-pull coil split. The bridge was a long-travel tune-o-matic fitted with a Hagstrom stop tailpiece and individual brass string blocks; tuning machines were Graph Tech Ratio units. The tune-o-matic bridge accepts standard replacement saddles for that platform, and the Graph Tech Ratio tuners use a 6-in-line or 3-per-side configuration standard to that product family.
Owners researching setup specifications, saddle or nut replacement, or pickup wiring should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with set-neck single-cutaway instruments of this configuration.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
