Cort built the Action DLX V Plus as part of the Action Series, a line positioned to deliver quality materials and components at an accessible point in the bass market. The bass is constructed with a poplar body capped by a quilted maple top, joined to a Canadian hard maple neck via a bolt-on connection. The jatoba fretboard runs a 400 mm (15.75") radius across 24 frets, dressed with white dot inlays. Hardware throughout is chrome, including die-cast tuners and the EB6 (5) bridge. PDX-5 pickups feed into the Markbass MB-1 EQ, an active preamp circuit described as providing a natural, transparent boost intended to preserve the acoustic character of the instrument's woods.
