Cort built the Action Bass V Plus as part of the Action Series, positioning it as an entry-level to mid-range five-string electric bass aimed at the developing player. Within the series, Cort offered multiple pickup configurations; the V Plus carried a jazz-style pickup set, distinguishing it from the PJ and soapbar variants in the same line.
The bass was constructed with a bolt-on neck joint, a poplar body, and a Canadian hard maple neck. The fretboard material is jatoba, with a 400mm (15.75") radius, 24 frets, and white dot inlays. Electronics consist of a matched pair of J-type pickups — designated PSEB1-5/F and PSEB1-5/R — with a pickup balance control and a 2-band active EQ. Hardware is finished in chrome throughout, including die-cast tuners and the EB6 (5) bridge. Scale length is 864mm (34"). The instrument is strung for five strings.
Owners requiring setup adjustments, fret work, or compatible replacement hardware should consult a qualified guitar technician or luthier familiar with five-string bass instruments.

What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
