Cort built the Action DLX Plus as part of the Action Series, a line positioned to deliver quality materials and construction at an accessible point in the bass market. The ACTION-DLX-PLUS-FGB occupied a mid-tier slot within that series, distinguished from other Action models by its quilted maple top, active Markbass electronics, and PDX-4 pickup configuration.
The bass is built on a poplar body with a quilted maple top, joined by a bolt-on Canadian hard maple neck. The jatoba fretboard runs a 400 mm (15.75") radius across 24 frets, with abalone inlays. Scale length is 864 mm (34"). Hardware throughout is chrome, including die-cast tuners and the EB6 four-string bridge. The PDX-4 pickups feed into the Markbass MB-1 EQ, an active preamp circuit described in Cort's own materials as delivering a natural and transparent boost that preserves the character of the instrument's woods rather than imposing its own coloration.
Owners requiring setup work, fret dressing, or help sourcing a compatible replacement bridge, nut, or preamp component should consult a qualified guitar or bass technician, who can cross-reference the EB6 bridge footprint and MB-1 EQ cavity dimensions against currently available aftermarket parts.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
