Replacement claw springs for the Floyd Rose Special tremolo system. These are the three coiled steel springs that sit in the cavity behind the bridge plate and pull against string tension to hold the bridge level. When they lose tension — or lose it at different rates — the bridge stops returning to pitch and setup becomes a chase. A worn set is the first thing to rule out on a floating bridge that will not settle.

Fitment depends on getting the spring count right for your strings and tuning. Three springs is the standard count for most players, but heavier strings or a lower tuning pull harder against the claw. If your spring tension is too low the plate rises; too high and it gets pinned to the body. Replace the full set rather than swapping one spring out — mixing old and new springs with uneven tension is one of the most common reasons a freshly adjusted Floyd will not balance. These are matched to the Special series.

Material is coiled steel. Springs do not fail dramatically — they soften gradually, which is why the problem can take months to show up and is easy to misread as a nut or saddle issue. If your tuning stability has been slowly degrading and nothing else explains it, the springs are worth looking at before you pull the saddles apart.
