Neck & Fit Visuals
Fretboard radius, neck profile, and fitment visualizations land here as the B11 spec engine rolls out.
The base plate is the structural core of the Floyd Rose Special tremolo — the machined platform that the saddles, sustain block, string-lock inserts and tension plates all bolt to. When the knife edges on the plate round over from years of use, the bridge stops returning to pitch reliably. No amount of spring adjustment or setup work recovers a worn knife edge. This plate, finished in nickel and made from hardened steel, is the direct replacement for that worn part.
Fitment is not flexible here. This plate is cut for the Floyd Rose Special series. The saddles, block and all hardware from that series are machined to its dimensions — parts from the Original, 1000 series or any other line are not interchangeable with it. Match the series exactly, and confirm your string count while you are at it, before ordering.
Hardened steel resists the knife-edge wear that kills softer plates early. That is the material doing its job — the edges stay crisp longer, which is the whole point of the base plate in a floating system.
If you are not certain this is the right plate for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will confirm fitment before anything ships.
