Description

These are the hardened steel insert blocks that sit inside each saddle and grip the string end when the lock screw bears down. When a block deforms or a screw head rounds off, the saddle stops clamping cleanly — the string slips under tension and the bridge cannot hold pitch. This set of six replaces all the blocks across the bridge in one go, so every saddle clamps with the same bite.

These blocks are cut for the Floyd Rose Special series. That matters. Insert blocks are not interchangeable across Floyd Rose lines — the geometry of the saddle pocket varies between the Original, Special, and other series, and a block from the wrong family either will not seat or will not clamp squarely. Before ordering, confirm your bridge is a Floyd Rose Special, not an Original or a licensed copy sold under another brand.

The blocks are hardened steel with a black finish, matching the hardware on a black Special bridge. Hardened steel resists the deformation that soft inserts develop after repeated string changes — a soft block eventually takes a set and starts allowing micro-movement under the screw.

If you are not certain which Floyd Rose variant is on your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will tell you whether this is the right block.
