The string lock screw is the part that actually clamps the string end inside the saddle. When the hex socket rounds out — and it will, eventually — the screw stops gripping the insert block, the string slips, and the bridge goes out of tune. These are the replacement screws for that exact situation on Floyd Rose Original series tremolos.
Fit is series-specific. These screws are made for the Floyd Rose Original series only. They will not interchange with the Special, 1000 series, or other Floyd Rose variants. If you are not certain which series your bridge is, pull the back cover and check the saddle block — the series is usually cast or stamped into the baseplate. One wrong screw in the set means one saddle that does not clamp cleanly, so the set of six covers all saddles at once.
Steel construction with a black finish. The finish matters beyond appearance — bare steel screws corrode at the socket and accelerate stripping, so matching the original finish extends service life. These are manufactured to the same spec as the screws that came on the bridge.
