Description

These are the string-lock saddles for the Floyd Rose Original series bridge. Each saddle clamps the string at the bridge end, taking over where the nut locks off the headstock end. When a saddle wears, strips its intonation screw or cracks its locking block, the string can no longer be held under the clamp — intonation drifts and the bridge stops returning to pitch. This set of six replaces all saddles at once.

Fit is series-specific and not interchangeable across Floyd Rose generations, even where two saddles look the same side by side. These are cut for the Original series only. If your bridge is a Floyd Rose Special, 1000 Series, Pro or any other variant, this set will not seat correctly. Check the series designation stamped or printed on your bridge plate before ordering. The set ships as six saddles — two each of the three sizes used across the six strings — because mixing worn saddles with fresh ones leaves the string heights inconsistent and throws the fretboard radius off across the set.

Saddles are hardened steel with a gold finish, matching the Original series hardware. The hardened steel resists the deformation that causes string-lock failure on softer saddle material after heavy use.

Not certain this is the right saddle for your bridge? Send us the make, model and year of your guitar and we will confirm the fit before you order.
