The arm housing is the threaded socket that receives the tremolo arm. When the housing strips, cracks, or loses its tension, the arm either won't stay at the angle you set or won't thread in at all. Fit is determined by the exact system already in the guitar. Floyd Rose tremolo hardware is series-specific — parts that look identical across generations are cut to different dimensions and will not interchange correctly. Before ordering, confirm you have a Non-Fine Tuner Floyd Rose system. If you are looking at the bridge and seeing fine-tuner saddle barrels, this is not the right housing. The housing is hardened steel. That is the correct material for this application — softer metal at the arm thread point wears quickly under regular use and strips in the same way this part is meant to replace. The satin gold finish matches Non-Fine Tuner hardware in that colour.
