The arm housing is the threaded collar that accepts the tremolo arm and holds it at the correct tension. When the housing strips, cracks, or loses its thread engagement, the arm either flops loose or won't seat at angle — this is the replacement. Floyd Rose part number FRTANOSHP, nickel finish, hardened steel, Old Style profile for Non-Fine Tuner systems.
Fit is determined by the exact system already in the guitar, not the brand name alone. Floyd Rose hardware changed dimensions across generations, and parts that look interchangeable between series are not. Before ordering, confirm you are running a Non-Fine Tuner Floyd Rose — specifically the Old Style variant. If you are on a Fine Tuner system, or a later non-fine-tuner revision, this housing will not correspond to your bridge plate's geometry. Measure and verify first.
The housing is machined from hardened steel. The failure mode on these is usually thread wear from repeated arm removal, or the retaining mechanism losing spring tension. If the arm is rocking laterally rather than spinning freely, check whether the housing body itself has cracked before assuming the thread is the problem.
If you are not certain which Floyd Rose system is in your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will confirm the correct part before you order.
