The arm housing is the threaded block that sits in the bridge plate and receives the whammy bar. When the housing strips, cracks, or loses its thread tension, the arm wobbles or won't stay put at the angle you set. This is a direct replacement housing for Floyd Rose Non-Fine Tuner systems, finished in black, made from hardened steel.
Fit depends on which system is already in the guitar. Floyd Rose hardware is series-specific — parts that look identical across generations are cut to different dimensions. This housing is for the Non-Fine Tuner series. If you are not certain which series is in your guitar, do not guess on the part number: check the bridge plate itself for markings, or pull the arm and look at the housing thread profile before ordering.
Hardened steel construction means this housing will outlast the softer thread of a worn original. The failure mode on these is almost always thread damage from overtightening the arm or from years of use on a guitar that sees heavy vibrato work — once the thread goes, the arm spins free or pulls out. Swapping the housing restores positive thread engagement without replacing the whole bridge assembly.
If you're not certain this is the right part for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we'll confirm the fit before you order.
