The arm housing is the threaded collar that accepts the tremolo arm — when the threads strip or the housing cracks, the arm either won't tighten or won't release cleanly. This is Floyd Rose's replacement housing for the Non-Fine Tuner system, finished in black nickel, made from hardened steel. It restores the arm-to-bridge connection without replacing the whole bridge assembly.
Fit is series-specific. Floyd Rose components that look identical across generations are cut to different dimensions, so a housing from one system will not necessarily thread correctly into another. Before ordering, confirm you have a Non-Fine Tuner Floyd Rose installed — not a fine-tuner variant, not a licensed copy, not a later revision. If you are not certain which system is in your guitar, check the bridge plate itself: fine-tuner saddles have small adjustment screws at the rear; non-fine-tuner saddles do not.
The hardened steel construction matters here because the housing takes repeated rotational stress every time the arm is inserted or removed. Softer housings wear faster, which is usually what caused the original to fail in the first place.
If you are not certain this is the correct housing for your bridge, send us the make, model and year of the guitar and we will confirm before you order.
