The base plate is the foundation of the Floyd Rose Non-Fine Tuner bridge. It sits between the body and the saddle block, anchors the pivot posts, and takes the full tension load of the strings and spring claw. When a plate cracks, corrodes, or strips at the post holes, the bridge cannot hold its geometry and tuning stability goes with it. This is the replacement plate for that system, finished in nickel, made from hardened steel.

Fit is system-specific, not brand-specific. Floyd Rose has produced several series over the decades, and parts that look identical between them are cut to different dimensions. A plate from the wrong series will not seat correctly at the posts or saddle block, even if it appears to drop in. Before ordering, confirm that the system already in your guitar is the Non-Fine Tuner series — not the Original, 1000 Series, Special, or any other variant. If you are not certain, measure what is in the guitar and compare before committing to this part.

The plate is hardened steel with a nickel finish. Hardened steel resists deformation at the pivot contact points, which matters because that edge carries the return-to-pitch load every time the arm is used. A plate that has worn or peened at the pivot will not centre consistently regardless of how well the rest of the system is set up.
