The spring claw sits in the rear cavity and anchors the tremolo springs against the body. When the original claw strips its screw threads, cracks, or goes missing, the bridge loses its anchor point and pitch stability goes with it. This is the Floyd Rose 1000 Series replacement — one claw, two screws, zinc construction, a direct replacement for the claw that shipped with 1000 Series tremolo systems.

Fit is decided by two things. First, the claw's mounting screws have to align with the holes already drilled in your body — if those holes are spaced for a different claw, this one will not mount correctly. Second, the claw is designed around the 1000 Series spring count and block geometry. If your bridge will not level even with this claw fully adjusted, the problem is usually spring count, not the claw itself — adding or removing a spring changes the pull before you run out of thread.

The claw is zinc, same as the original 1000 Series part. Zinc claws can crack at the screw ears after years of high spring tension or a previous overtightened installation — if yours shows a fracture there, replace it rather than risk the springs releasing under load.
