This is the string retainer bar for the Floyd Rose 1000 Series floating tremolo system. It mounts behind the locking nut and pulls the strings down at an angle over it. Without enough break angle, strings work loose from the nut blocks under aggressive use — particularly on dive bombs. This part restores that angle when the original bar is lost, bent, or stripped at the mounting holes. Screws are included.

Fit is decided by two things: the mounting hole spacing, which is series-specific, and the break angle itself, which depends on the shim height under your locking nut. This retainer is built for the 1000 Series — it will not drop in correctly on other Floyd Rose series without confirming the hole spacing matches. If your nut sits at a different height than the original setup, the break angle changes with it. Before ordering, check that you have a 1000 Series system and that your nut height has not been altered. If you are unsure, measure the hole spacing on the retainer you are replacing.

The bar is steel with a satin gold finish. Satin gold is a specific surface treatment — it will not match a gloss gold or cosmo black system. If your bridge and nut hardware is satin gold 1000 Series, this is the correct finish. If the finish on your system differs, fit will be mechanical but the appearance will not match.
