This is the locking nut for the Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo system, finished in antique silver. Its job is mechanical: clamp the strings at the headstock end so that pitch changes at the bridge — and nothing else — shift the string tension. Without a solid clamp here, the system cannot stay in tune through heavy use of the arm.

Before ordering, measure the nut slot on your neck and check the fretboard radius. Floyd Rose designates nut widths by size code — R2, R3, R4 and so on — and this is the R2. A nut that is too narrow crowds the outer strings toward the fretboard edge. A nut whose radius is flatter than the fretboard leaves the outer strings sitting proud of the clamping block, and they will buzz regardless of how hard you torque the screw. Match the size code to your existing nut, not to the guitar model name.

The nut is machined from hardened steel. The antique silver finish is not purely cosmetic — it identifies the 1000 Series family, so confirm your tremolo is the same series before fitting. The clamping blocks and saddle hardware are matched to that system; mixing parts from other series can cause inconsistent clamping pressure.
