The string retainer bar sits between the locking nut and the headstock tuners. Its job is to pull the strings down over the nut at the correct break angle so the nut locks them cleanly and they stay put through a dive bomb or a full arm raise. Without enough angle, strings can work loose under the nut even when the saddle clamps are tight. This is a Floyd Rose 1000 Series retainer in an antique bronze steel finish, supplied with its mounting screws.

Fit is the thing to get right before ordering. The retainer controls the downward break angle across the locking nut — too little angle and strings pop free during a heavy dive; a wrong-height shim under the bar will shift that angle even if the bar itself fits. Mounting hole spacing is specific to the 1000 Series, so this part belongs on a guitar that already has a Floyd Rose 1000 Series floating tremolo system. If your guitar carries a different Floyd Rose series or a licensed copy, the hole pattern may not match.

The bar is steel with an antique bronze finish. If your existing retainer is pitted, stripped at the mounting holes, or just missing, this is a direct swap — same finish, same series, screws included.
