Ibanez built the GB10SEBS as part of the GB Signature Series, positioning it within the Artstar-tier hollow body line. The model carried a Brown Sunburst finish over a hollow body construction, intended for players requiring the resonance and acoustic headroom associated with a fully hollow instrument.
The guitar was constructed with a spruce top and maple back and sides, joined to a three-piece maple GB-profile neck via a set-in joint. The bound ebony fretboard carried acrylic and abalone block inlays across 22 medium frets, finished with Artstar fret edge treatment. Hardware ran throughout in gold, including the ebony bridge, GB10 tailpiece, and a half-bone/half-brass nut set at 43mm width. The 628mm (24.7") scale fed into a string spacing of 10.4mm at the bridge. Electronics consisted of a matched pair of passive, alnico-loaded GB Special humbucker pickups at neck and bridge positions. The factory string gauge was .011/.015/.022w/.030/.040/.050, tuned to standard pitch. Neck dimensions measured 20mm thickness at the first fret and 22mm at the ninth, with a 305mm radius fretboard. The body measured 14½" across its widest point, 18⅞" in length, and reached a maximum depth of 3⅜".
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including bridge saddles, tailpiece hardware, nut stock, or pickup-mounting components — should consult the specifications above when cross-referencing compatibility, and bring any setup or structural work to a qualified luthier familiar with hollow body instruments.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
